Montrell Besley is a father, small business owner, community advocate, proven leader, and long-time native of District 4. He has a Master of Science (M.S.) focused in Public and Community Health from Austin Peay State University. Montrell currently serves as the Director of Community Engagement at the Chattanooga Preparatory School and has local government experience through his positions as Development Coordinator and Facility Manager with the City of Chattanooga. 

 

Montrell decided to run for the Hamilton County Commission, District 11, because he is tired of seeing the community underrepresented. He believes that every resident of Hamilton County deserves to have their voice heard and their needs addressed. As a County Commissioner, Montrell will work to serve every member of his community with dedication, transparency, and accountability.
