Montrell Besley is a father, small business owner, community advocate, proven leader, and long-time native of District 4. He has a Master of Science (M.S.) focused in Public and Community Health from Austin Peay State University. Montrell currently serves as the Director of Community Engagement at the Chattanooga Preparatory School and has local government experience through his positions as Development Coordinator and Facility Manager with the City of Chattanooga. 

 

Montrell decided to run for Hamilton County Commission because he is tired of district being underrepresented. He believes that every resident of Hamilton County deserves to have their needs heard. Montrell will seek to serve every member of his community as a member of the Hamilton County Commission.
